FolioLive(TM)

"Cookie" usage in FolioLive™

The "Session Cookie" that is used for FolioLive™ is purely for authentication/security, and does not contain nor collect any specific or personal information about the user whatsoever.  What it represents, in a way only intelligible to the FolioLive™ server, is the user's FolioLive™ id, and that the user is either an instructor or a student. The cookie does nothing other than represent a specific person and gives them permission to proceed.

When the browser is closed, the cookie gets destroyed! The cookie does not stay on your hard drive.

FolioLive™ does not collect ANY information, "Personally-Identifiable" or otherwise through the use of cookies. FolioLive™ uses a session cookie to maintain an authenticated (live) session between the user and their account.

The user does NOT need to have cookies enabled. If the cookies feature in the browser is disabled, the user has to login for every protected area or professor tool page.
